One of the most difficult things to try and do as a creative is accurately price out your productions. There are so many different departments and roles on a production that it’s difficult to factor in everyone you need to get a job done.
This is where the production budget calculator helps, I took all of the different roles on set, put in their most common industry day rates and made it as simple as punching in the numbers. The calculator will do the rest.
How to use:
• Download excel form then open
• Add or change roles
• Input desired rates for each role
• Enter the number "units" and "unit details"
• Checkmark the roles you specifically will handle
Scroll to the bottom and see your total expenses, net profit and final balance to share with your client. DO NOT SHARE this document with your clients, this is solely to calculate what you want to charge.
